Data controller

Hosting with STRATO
This website runs on a STRATO virtual server managed with Plesk. The hosting provider is STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Connection data is processed on this infrastructure to deliver the website.
STRATO processes data under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
STRATO · PrivacyConnection data and server logs
When you visit this website, connection data is processed and requests and errors are logged on the server. This includes IP address, timestamp, requested resource and HTTP status code; browser and referrer details may also be included where transmitted. Plesk’s server-wide retention setting for web and traffic statistics is three months. This setting is separate from access-log rotation.
The purposes are website delivery, troubleshooting and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is reliable and secure operation.
Log rotation is enabled for this domain and runs monthly. Plesk’s maximum log-file count is set to 4; rotated files are compressed and older files are removed through rotation. Retention therefore depends on the monthly rotation cycle and file count, rather than a fixed number of days. Custom logs are not covered by this Plesk setting.
Your language preference
Language selection works without persistent storage. Only with your permission in Privacy settings do we store your language code locally as “dwell-locale” for future visits. The decision itself is saved as “dwell-consent”, without a user identifier or transmission to an analytics service.
Optional language storage requires consent under section 25(1) TDDDG and, where personal data is involved, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Required storage of your decision relies on section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. It is valid for 180 days; expired entries are removed on your next visit. You can withdraw consent at any time with future effect using Privacy settings in the footer. This deletes the saved language. You can also delete browser data yourself at any time.
Contact by email
If you contact the operator by email, your address and message are used to respond to your enquiry. Contract-related enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; other enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
After the enquiry is resolved, data is deleted once no longer needed, subject to statutory retention requirements. This website currently does not include a contact form.
External links and GitHub
GitHub and other external sites are accessed through ordinary links. A connection is made only when you open a link. The destination’s privacy information then applies. This website’s fonts, icons and graphics are served locally.
No analytics or marketing services
The current website embeds no analytics tools, advertising trackers, external media or newsletter services. It provides no user account, automated decision-making or profiling. Connection data and server-side statistics are described in the “Connection data and server logs” section.
Your data protection rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent with effect for the future.
You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or where an alleged infringement occurred. The LfDI Baden-Württemberg is a contact point for the operator based in that German state.
LfDI Baden-WürttembergChanges to this privacy notice
This notice will be updated if features or data processing change. Before a contact form is introduced, its actual data flows, recipients and retention periods must be reflected here.
